BADACSONY, the pearl of the Lake Balaton!
Badacsony’s natural beauty, culturally-historically notable monuments and the internationally famous wines, have been attracting visitors for decades.
Badacsony lies in the western basin of the north shoreline of the Lake Balaton. The area’s centre lies in the southern side of the hill where a small peninsula has formed stretching into the lake. There is also a railway station near the centre. This centre then expands to incorporate some of the other lovely local villages: Badacsonytomaj, Badacsonylábdihegy and Badacsonytördemic.
The growth in the interest of Badacsony has brought our business into being, which was founded in 1982, called midiTOURIST. We are located in the very centre of Badacsony at Egry sétány 3. and are open from May until end of September. Our other office can be found in Park utca 53. and is open during the entire year, to ensure that our guests can reach us all year round.
Our aim is to offer help and information to our customers in any situation, whether it is regarding accommodation, programmes or buying real estates.
Our services cover the following areas:

Organised Programmes (full day of excursions, evening entertainments, two-day long carnivals greeting at vintage time)
There are many other opportunities for various holiday or sports related activities in the region:
- bicycle tours (normal and mountain bikes are available for rent at our office )
- playing tennis (court renting with racket and balls are available)
- hiking on recommended routes
- horse-riding for beginners and experienced riders, riding tours within close vicinity
- surfing (renting on the beach of Badacsonytomaj)
- sailing (renting of sailing boats)
While walking out and about you can familiarise yourself with the characteristic architecture of the region, as well as the sights and the culture of the traditional small villages.
It is not only during the summer season that Badacsony and its surroundings are worthwhile to visit, during springtime the revival of the landscape invites you to the blossoming of nature, while the autumn gives you its brilliant splendour of colours and the merry atmosphere of its historical past.
Winegrowing has defined the life of people in this area since primordial times. The first vineyards and fruit orchards were planted by the Romans on these sunny hillsides. Our ancestors have built vine cellars and wine presses to keep the
basalt-capped hill of Badacsony became famous for its wine. Grapes have been vital to this region ever since. It has become tradition that in a two-day long carnival locals celebrate the vintage time, the most important event of the region, at the end of the second week of September.Bunches of grapes are picked and pressed, and then the sweet nectar finds its way to the barrels to be fermented and ripened until the new wine can welcome our guests in the following season.

We support our customers with all the administration, starting with a familiarisation of the local area, choosing a real estate to writing up and managing the sales contract.
We have about 200-300 offers currently available: from dwelling-houses, weekend homes to smaller sized homes as well as building plots, shops and restaurants etc.
